Thrift Style: The Fashionista Next Door

Meet Thrifting Atlanta fashionista Eboni of The Fashionista Next Door. When it comes to thrift shopping she enjoys the thrill of the search, and the finds! "It's one of the easiest and cheapest ways to find unique, one-of-a-kind pieces," she said. "Also, fashion trends always come full circle...the trends of tomorrow are no doubt the trends of today."

She said that peplums are one of the biggest trends for Spring/Summer 2012 and they were also huge in the 1950's! "Thrift stores are filled to the brim with peplums-a-plenty...same for brightly colored cropped pants, printed dresses (like mine here), and pretty much any other trend you can think of."

She is fairly new to Atlanta, so she has not been to all the hot spots, but says that you can never go wrong with Goodwill. "My one experience at B&R Thrift Store in Sandy Springs was winner!" Her advice for a thrifting newbie is to just be open-minded about the experience...and be patient.  (and always try everything on! vintage sizing is very different from modern sizing!)
