Thrifting 101: How to Thrift Shop on a $10 Budget

One of the most important tips of thrift shopping is to set a budget and come with a list of items that you want to purchase. This will ensure that you only purchase pieces that you need and love. B & R Thrift Store, in Sandy Springs is a great location to purchase fabuless pieces because of their weekly sales. Every Friday one color tag is only 99 cents.  Plus you can use this coupon for an additional discount of your purchase. Click video below to see the amazing pieces I scored on my recent visit. My budget was $10!

Thrift Style: Let's Talk Fashion

Meet Thrifting Atlanta fashionista Cindy of Let's Talk Fashion. She describes thrifting as a fun, exciting adventure. "You never what you about to discover," she said. Her favorite thrifting spot is Value Village in Marietta, GA. "They have super low prices and plus an extra 50% off all clothing on the last Wednesday of each month." Her number one tip for is to double check everything for stains, missing buttons, holes, any imperfections you feel like you'll be able to fix.

Thrift Style: Twisted Vixen

Meet Thrifting Atlanta fashionista Sonya of Twisted Vixen. What she enjoys most about thrifting and buying resale is that she has the opportunity to meet creative, new people, and hear their journeys and stories. "I get a chance to express myself through my wardrobe without breaking the bank!"

Her favorite spot is Value Village in Tucker, GA. She said they have a nice variety of vintage items and the prices seem to be lower than any other location she has visited. Her #1 tip for thrifting is to be patient! Some days you won't find exactly what you're looking for but you won't leave without finding something you would like. "Keep your eye open for the specific piece you are looking for," she said. "Also if something does not look good on a hanger, don't be afraid to try it on!"
