Thrifting Atlanta Style Setter: Nikki P

Meeting Thrifting Atlanta Style Setter Nikki Patterson, a fashion blogger at Southern Hollywood. She said the best part about thrifting is the high that she feels when she scores a great find! "My absolute favorite thrift store in Atlanta is B&R Thrift Store in Sandy Springs," she said. "You can really score in that store on Thursday...because all women's clothing is 50% off ." One of her tips for newbies is to shop at thrift stores in more upscale areas such as Buckhead, Alpharetta, and Sandy Springs.

Meet Thrifting Atlanta Style Setter Wendy of Just Jewels 4 U. She is a newbie to thrifting but enjoys the fun of finding "new-to-her" pieces. "I just got into the thrifting game," she said. "I prefer thrifting because you can be creative with your wardrobe."  Her favorite spots are Goodwill and Value Village.  Her number tip for a thrifting newbie is to go thrifting without a specific item to buy. Thrift Style: Cocoa Report

Meet Thrifting Atlanta Fashionista April of  Cocoa Report. Her favorite thrift store is the Goodwill on Roswell Road in Marietta. Her number one thrifting tip for newbies is to try on the pieces regardless of the size on the label. "Size and fit varies on designer and the time period of when it was designed," she said.  "A size 5,10,15 years ago may not be the size or fit now.
"If it looks like it may fit, try it on!"

Back by Popular Demand Consignment Dollar Sale

Last weekend, my mom and friends made our way over to Back By Popular Demand Consignment for their bi-annual Dollar Sale. This event raises money for a local charity selected by the owner. We were the early birds arriving at 6 am (the sale started at 9 am) in the hopes of catching the best deals.

Owner, Melissa Baxter, and her team where still setting up for the big sale. Over 7,000 pieces of fashion, clothing, accessories and shoes were brought outside for the sale.

Being one of the first people there, allows you see the items and develop your thrifting strategy.

With everyone in place and after a prayer, we were ready for the dollar sale to start!

Click HERE to see the video of how the shoppers rushed to the racks! Below are a few pics of the shoppers on a quest to find the best pieces.

We had a blast and scored some great pieces. Click HERE to see more pictures on facebook.
