#AlphaDerbyWeekend 2019- Kentucky Derby Fashion (RECAP)

The Alpha Derby Weekend is hosted annually during the first weekend in May by eight chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. from across the metro-Atlanta. It is a party with a purpose but it is also the perfect excuse to let your Kentucky Derby style personality shine. We loved seeing the ladies in their over-the-top hats and flirty dresses. From floral designs to brightly colored strapless dresses, here are our favorite looks from this year.

We loved how our founder Two Stylish Kays rocked this strapless vintage dress and gave it a modern appeal.

This beautiful couple made a fashion statement in their Kentucky Derby looks. They looked like they stepped out of the race, then joined us for the after-party.

We loved her accordion pleat maxi dress with plunging neckline. The fascinator and clear transparent heels are the perfect complement. His coral blazer is a gorgeous focal point of his derby look.

One of our favorite derby looks this dress with all of the mixed textures, prints and embellishments.

Our founder Two Stylish Kays too a picture with the best in hat winner. The judges loved the uniqueness of her hat and how well it coordinated with her dress.

The ruffled detail that curves around this dress is a sweet complement for the soft tulle fascinator.

Janelle Simmons stopped by our red carpet to chat with Pretty Curvy Diva.  Janelle's black dress with gold applique made a regal statement that did not compete with her crown. The Pretty Diva's dress had the perfect pop of color and she styled it in perfection with her colorful pumps

Our founder Two Stylish Kays had a quick chat and photo opp with local news anchor Karyn Greer who looked pretty in pink in her A-line shift dress.

While it is all about the derby hat for the ladies, for the gents the focus is on their choice of color palette.  We love how these men rocked floral prints and loafers with such confidence.

Polka Dots are always are fave for derby fashion and this bodycon dress with complementing hat does not disappoint.

As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together. These ladies look fabulous and well coordinated  in their choice of derby fashion.

So this is a fun alternative to traditional derby fashion. This pantsuit, with a flirty capelet and camisole for a little dramatic flair, definitely makes a fashion statement.

We loved the black lace and sheer combo of the dress. Very sexy and chic too.

We loved how over-the-top these hats were. It stopped us in our tracks because we were amazed at the detail and time it probably took to create this one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

She looked like a ray of sunshine in the fitted bodycon dress and those amazing boots, were an unexpected sweet stylish surprise.

Which derby look is your favorite?
